The Paris Air Show is held every other year (odd-numbered years) at Le Bourget Airport, northeast of Paris. Le Bourget Air Show is the largest international meeting for all of the actors in the aeronautics and space industry. The high point of every show is always the aerobatics demonstrations by the finest names in the aeronautics industry. This is a fun way of presenting the latest models of military fighter aircraft.
The show is reserved to the professionals and opens its doors to the general public for the last weekend.
The first Aerial Locomotion Show was held at the Grand Palais in Paris in 1909.
With more than 130,000 professional visitors in 2007 and 2,000 exhibitors, the Paris Air Show was once again an opportunity for meeting all of the actors in the sector. In 2009, to celebrate a century of aeronautical technology innovations and the conquest of space, the Show’s organiser will go all out to encourage and develop an atmosphere favourable to doing business.
