- Designer’s Days
Every year in mid-June, Designer’s Days lay out an itinerary around Paris, on the Left Bank and the Right Bank, with ephemeral, unique and therefore exceptional scenographic presentations here and there. This 8th edition includes prestigious addresses not to be missed if you love decoration: Artelano, Baccarat, Kartell, Lafayette Maison, Silvera, Swarovski and the list goes on and on.
At each stop you will make a discovery, in the end finding the “must” in contemporary design creation. Inspired by certain members of Designer’s Saturday created in the 1980s in New York, Designer’s Days have made a name for themselves over the past eight years. Last year, nearly 40,000 architects, decorators, journalists, designers as well as students, amateurs and enthusiasts followed the itinerary.
Each year at Designer’s Days, the general public, professionals, journalists, architects, decorators, designers, students, amateurs and enthusiasts set out to discover design and its sites. All have one point in common: the discovery of a theme interpreted in an ephemeral scenographic presentation at each exhibition spot.
Exhibition spots:
Left Bank: Arteland, B’Bath, Boffi Bains, Boffi Studio, Cassina, Cor-Interlubke, Elitis, First Time, Kartell, Knoll, Kvadrat, Maxalto, Molteni, Poltrona Fau, Tectona, Teuco and USM.
Also discover the latest design novelties at our hotel boutiques at the Madison, across from Saint Germain des Prés Church, at the Artus Hotel behind the Cor-Interlubke showroom or at the Bourgogne & Montana, where you can stop by the Kartell boutique.
Right Bank: Artcurial, Baccarat, Bernardaud, Bulthaup Etoile, Christofle, Forum Diffusion, Gaggenau, I Guzzini, Lafayette Maison, Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres, Rimadesio & Passage, Saazs, Siltec, Sivera, Swarovski and Veronese.
Take advantage of your walk around the Right Bank to discover the Terrass Hotel in Montmartre or to have lunch at Le Diapason Restaurant. The hotel’s 7th-floor terrace has a spectacular view of Paris and offers inventive French cuisine exclusively using market-fresh products.
Back to the origins of this story
In 2001, a group of professional – producers, editors and distributors – created the Parisian design itinerary, whose primary vocation is to promote creation through ephemeral scenographic presentations. Very quickly, they formed an Association to make their professions and know-how more widely known, to exchange ideas, and to share and coordinate a meeting platform. Over the years, new members have joined and enriched the event, which is now eagerly awaited by opinion leaders, the general public and the press, giving it close coverage and strongly contributing to its promotion. Alongside them, the City of Paris pays homage to the creators by placing their work at the heart of everyday life and reminding us of design’s social role in the quality of our environment.
