The Grand Musical Fountain Display, a sparkling and melodious promenade among the fountains and Bosquets of the Gardens of Versailles, has this year been set to music by the Talens Lyriques, conducted by Christophe Rousset.
An exploration of an exceptional natural, artistic and musical heritage, the Fountain Display is based on itinerary designed by Louis XIV himself.
Designed from the outset, in 1666, as a festive occasion, the Fountains have become an essential experience for all who love gardens, the magical potential of water and music.
Free to decide their ouw route, visitors wander to and fro through the Gardens of Versailles, between stunning open prospects and the intimacy of the bosquets (groves) providing green settings for unique works of art.
The Grand Musical Fountain Display takes place every weekend from Easter until October
