With nearly 140 theatres and concert halls, Paris will dazzle your eyes: major productions, historical reconstitutions, musicals, pleasure and relaxation are yours for the taking. For high culture, the finest theatrical productions can be found in Paris: classical or contemporary plays, Greek tragedies revisited, vaudeville and boulevard theatre, one-man shows, opera, dance or poetry, the choice is wide-ranging and the programmes are rich. A third circuit has thus been growing in Paris, light-years away from the major private theatres and public stages such as the Comédie Française, where plays by the illustrious Molière are regularly presented.
